illiteracy in Pakistan

No nation can make progress in any field of life until all its citizens are properly litare.question is whta is literacy.does it mean being capable of reading and writing or does it mean preparing oneself for life and be aware of one's rights and responsibilities? it is true that being capable of reading and writing is the first step toward being literate. But mere reading and writing do not make a man educated.education means changes in behavior.it means that our education system should beso wisely designed that it brings about a positive change in our thinking and actions.but it is a pity that in our country even the first step toward literacy has not been taken. government seems to be ignorant of the importance of education.schools and colleges are few and far between.the few educational institutions that have been in the country have no proper buildings,furniture and other equipment.

As far as is known, illiteracy can be termed as the state of being illiterate. Should people have not received education or if they have not risen within healthy and appropriate condition in terms of cultural level, it can absolutely be said that people will become illiterate in the future. Illiteracy has many serious effects on individuals as well as society such as unemployment together with loss of language and culture.
